Charge Controllers/Regulators

All solar panels* require a voltage regulator to ensure that the battery is not overcharged and to provide:

· Battery reverse feed protection

· Overload protection

· Battery open circuit protection

· Lightning surge protection

· Deep discharge protection

*Solar panels rated 5W do not require a charge controller if used with a battery of > 33Ah

*Solar panels rated 10W do not require a charge controller if used with a battery of > 70Ah
