Our involvement with solar PV and LED sustainable lighting products ‘blurs’ the boundaries of our attempts to distinguish one range from another. We have tried to simplify choice but with 12V SELV transformers, 12 V constant current drivers for LEDs and 12V DC available from batteries in solar systems there is every possibility that we haven’t yet succeeded in presenting the information as clearly as we would wish. Please tell us if we could do better!
Many of our products easily surpass the Building Regulations Part ‘L’ requirements where the ultimate benchmark of efficiency in low energy lighting is a minimum of 40 lumens per watt.
For example, the Lowline miniature fluorescent striplights with low loss electronic ballast for 8W and 13W T5 lamps are at least 50% greater than the minimum 40 lumens per watt.
Our sustainable lighting LED lamps are distinctly eco-friendly with no toxic materials used in their production. LED technology is now capable of providing a reliable LED lamp which will light as well as we want and need, yet which uses very little energy. LEDs don’t ‘blow’ so end of life is typically defined as being when they emit only 85% of their full brightness. They simply get slightly dimmer very slowly.
